All library flags are ordered from Best Imaging Solutions, the printing service preferred by the Art Institute of Chicago.
The turnaround for printing is very quick, and an order can be completed in a day. It is better to order more before the supply runs out, so place an order whenever you notice a flag is running low.
The PDF files for the flags are located in the Research Center Drive folder Flags.
To place an order:
After you place your first order, most of the fields for the Customer Info will auto-populate, but none of the Order Info will. Always specify “bond paper” in the Additional Instructions box. Anything left blank in the above example need not be filled out. You may also pick up the flags when they are ready at the Best Imaging offices in the lower level of 55 E. Monroe St.
After the order is placed, you will receive an automated order confirmation and then a job number from a Best Imaging employee via email. If you request delivery, you will receive a notice from Security when the order arrives.
Each flag must be its own specific color. When ordering, use the following:
Conservation = yellow
Gift of = salmon

Reading Room serial = light green
Rush = light pink
